Video: New 156m Lurssen Superyacht Undergoing Sea Trial

Thought to be the largest yacht in the world by gross tonnage, the recent footage revealing the striking profile of Project Omar has unsurprisingly been released to great fanfare.

Caught by DrDuu, the video of Project Omar heading back to the shipyard following her sea trials has provided some more insight into her impressive build.

With a clearly outstanding presence in the water, the footage nicely showcases the sheer scale and seven decks of the new vessel.

Set to be delivered later on this year, the motor yacht was the largest launch of last year, and at the time of writing will be the fourth largest in the world once she is with her owner.

Though the finer details are still something of a mystery, it is known that her hull is made of steel, and her superstructure is aluminium. It also believed that the as-yet-unseen interiors are designed by Andrew Winch whilst the exterior styling comes courtesy of Espen Oeino.

Whilst she is not believed to be available for luxury charter vacations, it’s certainly worth taking a look at all of the other Lurssen yachts available for charter.

Combining the expertise of Lurssen, Espen Oeino, and Andrew Winch, Project Omar is unquestionably a superyacht worth getting excited about
