#THROWBACK VIDEO: Motor Yacht 'Mary Jean II' Completes Extensive Refit

Matching the majesty of the surrounding emerald-topped mountains of La Ciotat, 62m/202ft charter yacht ‘Mary-Jean II’ makes an effortless return to water in a video shot earlier this summer.

The propellers and complex technology which makes a ‘superyacht’ truly ‘super’ is seen above in a closer look at the engineering which powers Mary-Jean II to a cruising speed of 13 knots.

The footage also gives insight into the hard work of the team at Monaco Marine behind manoeuvring the multi-award winning vessel back into the water. During her refit, Mary-Jean II underwent a comprehensive paint job and completed her five-year survey.

The yacht underwent her paint makeover inside Monaco Marine's 90m custom-built paint shed where atmospheric conditions such as temperature and dust are tightly controlled to ensure the best possible paint finish. She departed as scheduled, after almost exactly three months after entering the facilities.

Greeted by the sunshine of the Côte d'Azur, Mary-Jean II looks in impeccable condition as she emerges from the shipyard and gracefully takes to the water once again in preparation for the 2015 summer season. Delivered in 2010 by the Italian shipyard ISA, she is the winner of ‘Best Displacement Motor Yacht’ at the 2011 World Superyacht Awards.

Contemporary in style with an open-plan layout, she offers comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests in 7 staterooms, including a master suite, a VIP stateroom, three double staterooms, two twin cabins and two convertibles, with two Pullman berths. Amenities include a fully-equipped gym, a skylounge movie theatre, a large swimming platform and Jacuzzi.
