Lürssen Superyacht ‘Quantum Blue’ Delivered

Following the launch of the 104m/336’6 superyacht ‘Quantum Blue’ in July 2014 it has been reported that Lürssen have successfully completed and delivered her to her Owner.

M/Y ‘Quantum Blue’ was built to a design by the renowned Tim Heywood who commented on the process of working with the client and the acclaimed German shipyard on this extensive project: ‘Once again, I have had the great pleasure of working with the Lürssen team to create a truly wonderful yacht with many new and unique features. I am so pleased with the elegant proportions, the demanding details achieved by the yard and the superb finish to her hull and superstructure.’

According to reports she has been built to the new Passenger Yacht Code (PYC), similar to Oceanco's M/Y Equanimity,  which was introduced in 2010 to provide a SOLAS equivalent code for yachts wishing to carry up to 36 passengers.

The team at Alberto Pinto Design are responsible for her interior and although photos have not to be released, it can be ‘expected to be spectacular’ with finishes that include a unique mix of rare and striking materials. Motor yacht ‘Quantum Blue’ has not been announced for charter, however there is a wide selection of beautiful Lürssen superyachts for charter that are available for hire as private crewed vacations.
