Lürssen Release Further Details on ‘Quantum Blue’ Launch

Following the launch of the 104m/336’6 ‘Quantum Blue’ last week, German shipyard Lürssen have now released further details on the unveiling of this magnificent superyacht project.

After being rolled out the previous day, ‘Quantum Blue’ was officially launched on the 25th July and is due to be delivered to her Owner at the end of this year. Her exterior design is the work of Tim Heywood who according to the shipyard has achieved results that encompass ‘elegant and graceful’ lines, ensuring that ‘despite her massive volume she maintains her looks’.

In a statement the designer commented on his design process alongside the Owner and builder of one of the world’s largest superyachts: "Quantum Blue has emerged from the Lürssen shipyard and will take her place, confidently, amongst the most beautiful yachts afloat. My gratitude to the Owners for allowing Tim Heywood Designs to help create this wonderful floating work of art, which we are extremely proud of. Once again, I have had the great pleasure of working with the Lürssen team to create a truly wonderful yacht with many new and unique features. I am so pleased with the elegant proportions, the demanding details achieved by the yard and the superb finish to her hull and superstructure."

The Alberto Pinto Design team are responsible for Quantum Blue’s interior and, although photos are yet to be released, it can be ‘expected to be spectacular’ with finishes that include a unique mix of rare and striking materials that create an exceptional feeling of luxury on board.

‘Quantum Blue’ is the third superyacht from Lürssen to be launched this year to world acclaim, her predecessor being the 95.2m/213ft charter yacht ‘Kismet’(Project Global). It is not yet known whether this latest launch will also be made available for charter, so in the meantime take a look at the full fleet of Lürssen-built charter yachts that are.
