DRONE VIDEO: The Majesty of the Monaco Yacht Show 2015

Outstanding drone footage captures the line-up of 121 superyachts in attendance at the 25th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show last month from the skies of Port Hercule.

A plethora of impressive sundecks appointed with Jacuzzi’s and swimming pools are featured in the video above, amongst the towering masts of the 17 sailing yachts in attendance.

The successful 2015 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show took place from 23 to 26 September, with 121 superyachts afloat for viewings in addition to the 40 of world-leading tender and toys and 500 quayside exhibitors.

As YachtCharterFleet reported, the charter industry was heavily represented at the French Riviera’s premier yachting event, with highlights including the debuts for new charter yachts like 82m/268ft Abeking & Rasmussen M/Y ROMEA and the 69m/227ft Tankoa M/Y SUERTE, who lined up alongside well-established superyachts such as the inimitable 85m/279ft Lürssen M/Y SOLANDGE.

In total, 49 charter yachts were on display at the event, in comparison to the 72 vessels on the private market – a percentage of 40%.

This year’s show was bigger in size than previous editions, thanks to extra berths created to accommodate more superyachts and a revamped exhibition area, reorganised to better suit attendees navigating the show.
