VIDEO: AMELS Yachts Spring Update

Making good use of the latest in drone technology, the Dutch shipyard AMELS allowed a camera to gather some fly-by footage of their latest projects.

Describing their award-winning yard as very much a ‘full house’ at present, the marketing manager Victor Caminada was keen to reassure viewers that despite their impressive workload, everything is ‘running like clockwork’.

Taking viewers through their enormous sheds- reportedly large enough to accommodate even the world’s largest yachts- the footage provides a rare glimpse into the finer details of motor yacht building.

Currently in the midst of finishing ten limited edition projects, there’s a reasonable chance that we may see one of their new builds becoming available for luxury charter vacations in the near future. Indeed, three of these projects are expected to be delivered by the end of 2016, including their largest project to date- the 83m AMELS 272.

As well taking on a number of new builds, AMELS are also in the middle of completing a handful of refits which are expected to be complete within a year.

Of course, the shipyard has previously launched the shortlisted 55m/180ft superyacht ASTRA, the large scale 76m/249ft motor yacht REBORN, and the recently refitted 50m/164ft luxury yacht MARLA.

Signing off the short video, Caminada triumphantly states that ‘We are on time, all projects are going well’.
