Brand New Feadship Superyacht FEMKE Undergoing Sea Trials

Following her launch last month, the 47m/154ft motor yacht FEMKE has now left the Feadship shipyard for trials in the North Sea.

Revealed to great fanfare in October, FEMKE is the latest motor yacht to leave Feadship’s facility in Aalsmeer. Defined by her classically inspired exterior, the shipyard has described how the new build drew inspiration from the iconic superyacht ‘Aurora B’.

Bringing modern elements into the design, in-house naval architects De Voogt have added horizontal grills to the superstructure which has ultimately provided her with a unique profile.

Sure to have turned more than a few heads as she made her passage through Rotterdam yesterday, FEMKE is currently in the North Sea where it is believed she will begin her testing phase.

Consistent with her vintage aesthetic, superyacht FEMKE has numerous teak furnishings positioned out on her exterior, a touch which is sure to be appreciated by her owner and his guests.

There’s also a walkaround deckhouse which serves as an exciting feature which doubles up as a suitable addition to her traditional look.

Recalling the classic age of the Feadship pedigree, FEMKE is a superyacht of considerable distinction

If the exterior of superyacht FEMKE has attracted considerable praise, her interior has attracted an equal amount of intrigue. Indeed, there has been very little confirmed about her interior save for the fact that it has been explained as ‘elegant’ in an earlier press release.

Not the only Feadship keeping the industry in a state of excitement, the brand new 70m Superyacht Samya is also nearing delivery.

As more information surrounding FEMKE is released, YachtCharterFleet will be certain to provide up to date information.

Whilst M/Y FEMKE is not expected to become available for charter, be sure to take all of the Feadship superyachts which are available to rent.
